initial idea SWOT analysis

 Idea 1: girl gets stalked and kidnapped 

 

Strengths	Weaknesses
Looking at my first initial idea, I can see that the focus group has understanded the storyline.   A strength that we understood as a focus group and think it will give this same understanding to the audience.	A weakness that has been found is that the public could understand in a wrong way whilst filming.  Another weakness will be that my friend’s car might not be free on the specific day I’ll be filming.
Opportunities	Threats
The opportunities I’ll have doing this is raise awareness to the audiences to be safe in a comedic way.   Another opportunity is that women’s empowerment and safety is promoted and audiences should always seek for advice.	Threats that I may come across is the resources that I would be using is having issues. For example, memory card is full or the battery of the camera runs out.   Another threat that possible could happen is that the person who’s presenting the character could be getting sick and I would strictly want the same person to present the character. Therefore, the deadlines will be postponed

Trouble finds a beginner vampire.  

Strengths	Weaknesses
Discussing with the focus group we spoke about what the film is explaining to the audience. Which we came up that it is a powerful storyline.	With the focus group we came to a decision that the idea of the dragging the customer could be explicit violence.   Another weakness possibly could be climate. If the weather is poor, it could make it harder to film whilst the floor is muddy and slippery.
Opportunities	Threats
We have discussed that it could be educational to the audience. By reminding them to limit the alcohol at a party or club to reduce the chances of being hungover the next day or to be spiked. This also raises awareness to the audiences.	A threat that was discussed with the focus group is when I go to the forest the weather might not be the best. Therefore, it could postpone the video shoot to another day due to safety. Another threat that possibly could happen is my dad’s restaurant not being available to film or it will be packed.

 

Idea 3: Girl gets kidnapped, her brother planned it  

Strengths	Weaknesses
For my 3rd initial idea, the focus group liked the thought of it by saying no body would actually think that their brother would kidnap them. Therefore, it is a very good plot twist.	Weaknesses that possibly happen is when filming in the car the camera possibly will be shaking due to speed. As well as speeding is not safe
Opportunities	Threats
An opportunity to look unique because of the location I chose which was the Dockland. The atmosphere is good matches the storyline of being mysterious and is unique bin comparison to others film.	Threats that possibly can affect the stage time is if the Dockland is bus and has several people around, we could accidentally film without there consent which may lead to fines or lawful actions. This will increase the amount on time on the filming process and may even jeopardise filming my short film film overall.
